Getting started

What is Verial?

Verial lets you issue a unique, trackable code for every unit you sell, printed as a QR code or a short code customers can type in. They scan or enter it on a public page to confirm the unit is genuine and register it under their name. You get a registration record for every claimed unit, plus a signal if the same code is scanned again from somewhere else.

What problem does it actually solve?

Two things. First, warranty and registration: you build a customer list tied to specific units, without asking anyone to fill out a separate warranty card. Second, light anti-counterfeiting: since only you can issue valid codes, a code that is already claimed and gets scanned again is a sign that something is off, like a leaked batch or a reseller.

How do I set it up?

Create your brand profile with your logo, colour, and description. Add your products, then generate a batch of codes for one of them. Print the codes onto your packaging, a card, or a receipt insert. Customers scan or type the code when they receive the product to register it.

Issuing and tracking codes

What happens if the same code is scanned twice?

The first scan registers the customer. Every scan after that is flagged as a duplicate and shown as Already Verified instead of letting someone register again. You see it in your analytics as a signal worth checking. It can mean a leaked code or a reseller, or simply a customer re-scanning their own product, which is normal.

Can I void a code?

Yes. If there is a recall, a print error, or a leaked batch, you can void a code and give a reason. Voided codes fail verification and can never be registered again.

Can I use it for bazaars, booths, or consignment?

Partly today. The current flow works best when you know the customer at the time of issue, like an online order, or when you hand out codes for customers to register themselves. A dedicated activate at point of sale flow for offline retail is planned but not live yet.

Does it integrate with my store?

Verial connects with Shopify and WooCommerce, with API access and webhooks available on paid plans. It also works well on its own, alongside whatever store and CRM you already use.

For your customers

What does a customer see when they scan a code?

A public page, branded with your logo and colours, that confirms the product and shows any details you attached, like edition or batch. The first time a code is scanned, it asks the customer to register their name, email, and phone.

Do my customers need an account or an app?

No. The verification page is public and needs no login or install. Customers just enter their name, email, and phone the first time a code is registered.

Is a customer's registration shown to other people?

No. The page shows product and authenticity details to anyone who scans, but never a previous owner's name, email, or phone, not even partially masked.

Trust and data

Is my data isolated from other brands?

Yes. Every account is separated at the data layer, so one brand can never see or change another brand's products, codes, or customer registrations.

Is this a guarantee that a product is 100% authentic?

Think of it as a warranty card rather than a forensic test. A valid, unclaimed code proves it came through a channel you control, but it does not inspect the physical product itself. The real protection comes from you controlling who can issue codes in the first place.
