Terms of service.

The terms that govern your use of Verial. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

Last updated 17 August 2026

1. Using Verial

Verial lets brands issue unique, trackable codes for their products so customers can verify authenticity and register their purchase. You must be able to form a binding contract to create an account, and the information you give us about your brand and products must be accurate.

2. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account, including codes generated, batches printed, and staff you give access to. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Plans and billing

Verial is offered on the plans described on our pricing page, which may change from time to time. Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis and renew automatically unless cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we don't provide refunds for partial periods except where required by law.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Verial to issue codes for counterfeit, stolen, or illegal products, to misrepresent a product's authenticity, to attempt to access another brand's data, or to interfere with or abuse the service (including excessive automated requests). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

5. Your customers' data

When your customers register a product through Verial, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect their data and for complying with applicable data protection law, including the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010 where it applies to you. Verial processes that data on your behalf to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Third-party integrations

If you connect a third-party platform such as Shopify or WooCommerce, you authorise Verial to access the data needed to provide that integration. We aren't responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party platforms you connect.

7. Intellectual property

Verial and its branding, software, and design are owned by us and our licensors. You keep ownership of your own brand content, product data, and customer registrations; you grant us a licence to use them solely to provide the service to you.

8. Disclaimer

Verial confirms that a code was issued through a channel you control and lets customers register their purchase. It is not a physical authentication or forensic test of the product itself, and we don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Verial won't be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability for any claim relating to Verial is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

10. Termination

You may stop using Verial and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these terms, non-payment, or if required by law. On termination, we may delete your account data after a reasonable period, consistent with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Verial changes. If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page; continuing to use Verial after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
